| Welcome to NuLeaf Nu Leaf is a dynamic company that supplies fresh produce nationally to the major retailers on a daily basis. We specialise in the supply of sub-tropical fruits. We are also suppliers of cut flowers to the major national retail companies. Nu Leaf offers a unique service to both the fresh produce industry and producers alike using our “whole tree concept” : through connecting one with the other, Nu Leaf sources fresh produce for retail distribution, wholesaling, processing as well as securing direct supply programmes for our agricultural operations and suppliers, the majority of whom are Eurogap/Globalgap accredited. We boast the very latest state-of-the-art , fully imported grading and pressure testing machinery for our avocado ‘ripe and ready’ selection , at both our Johannesburg and Cape Town facility. By operating in both Gauteng and the Western Cape ,this enables us to eliminate all bruising/damage to our produce as delivery distances to our clients operational centres are shortened. We pride ourselves on the ability to supply outstanding quality year-round . Our growers that supply us are located in the prime growing areas throughout South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mocambique and Spain. All of our fresh produce is managed and ripened to ensure absolute freshness, ripeness and optimum shelf-life. We have the facilities to store/ripen 1 000 pallets of product at any one time. All of our product range is delivered directly to our facilities from our programmed growers, ensuring full traceability i.e. from a product’s origin to the retailer’s shelf. To ensure uncompromised quality, we conform to HACCP in our pack-houses. This standard is a complete food safety and quality management system. To ensure we conform to the laid-down standards, we are required to undergo annual audits by our major retail customers. For our latest audit, we obtained an A++ rating. |
